The InventiPro web app as a desktop app. Needs an internet connection.

**InventiPro Online Desktop 5.8.0** — the InventiPro web app in its own desktop window, with its own icon. It needs an internet connection, exactly like using InventiPro in a browser, and it stays current on its own because it loads your live account. **If you need to keep billing through an internet outage, install the regular InventiPro POS desktop app instead** — it keeps a local copy of your data and syncs when you are back online. This build is not code-signed yet, so your computer will show a warning the first time you open it (steps below).

  • Payments, Products, Customers and Employees match the desktop app tab for tab, with the same KPI cards.
  • New cards on Inventory Tracking, Stores, Suppliers, Payment Reminders and AI Insights, and the invoice risk scan on Fraud Detection.
  • Expense Sharing sign-in: the mobile number box is full width again next to the country code.
  • The Android app gives you InventiPro as a full-screen app with its own icon, signed in and ready.
  • It stays current on its own — updates to InventiPro reach the app without you reinstalling it, so you will rarely need to download this again.
  • **It needs an internet connection.** Unlike the Windows desktop app, which keeps a local copy of your data and works offline, the Android app talks to your account over the network.

Real-time cloud sync between the desktop app and the web app, plus security hardening for password/email/account-recovery flows.

  • **Create Invoice matches the web app:** a Held bills list to resume any bill on hold, a billing counter picker, Amount received / Still due for part payments, and auto-print with paper size right at the till.
  • **12-hour or 24-hour clock:** the Time format setting now applies to every time shown in the app.
  • **Product search:** products with variants now show their name and variant count, and the variant picker closes as soon as you add an item.
  • **PIN sign-in:** the keypad no longer tilts while you type, and profile photos sit neatly inside their round frame.
  • **Checkout panel:** no more sideways scrolling — it fits the window and scrolls only up and down.

Two-factor sign-in on the desktop with an account check and a trusted-computer option for offline use, plus sync and sign-in fixes.

  • The sync icon stayed red: some cloud records (sales without a date, walk-in payments without a customer name) were refused on every sync. They now come through.
  • The two-factor screen could fail to open (updated build, same version 5.6).
  • The AI assistant button in the header opened nothing.
  • "The InventiPro cloud could not be reached" on the first sign-in attempt while the internet was working.
  • **Signed.** This installer is digitally signed by InventiPro, so Windows can detect if it has been altered. It is a self-signed certificate, so Windows may still show "Unknown publisher" on first run; choose "More info" > "Run anyway".

Starts in your language, follows your web account (plan, days left, settings), matches the web screen by screen, and adds AI insights, smart reordering, loyalty, reconciliation and more.

## What's new **Speaks your language from the first screen.** A new install asks for your language (English, हिन्दी, Français, Español, 한국어) before anything else, and the app now starts in your chosen language every time, including the login screen. **Your web account, on the desktop.** Sign in with your web email and password and the desktop connects and downloads your data. It then shows your web plan and days left instead of a separate trial, and keeps business type and modules in step with the web. If sign-in is refused, the message now says why (two-factor sign-in, wrong password, no connection, or the cloud's own reason). **Matches the web, screen by screen.** Sidebar, tabs, cards and figures now match the web app across Sales, Invoices, Payments, Products, Customers, Analytics, Reports, Daily Closing, Marketing, Automations, Reservations, Tables & QR and Settings. Every web add-on can be bought from the desktop. **New features:** AI insights and business assistant, smart reordering with one-click purchase orders, loyalty and automatic customer marketing, smart payment reconciliation, digital customer card, suspicious-activity detection and a business health score, a multi-store Command Center, hardware auto-detection, a Smart Invoice QR on A4/A5 PDFs, review requests and the daily "What should I do today?" brief, and verified attendance (kiosk, counter code, optional punch photo). **Billing.** Order type (Counter / Takeaway / Aggregator) starts on Counter. The restaurant tabs (Kitchen Display, Guests & Footfall, Table QR OTP) now show whenever the Restaurant module is on. **Fixes.** Pop-ups size themselves to your text size and grow when a message appears; the variant picker, Products list and Settings no longer cut off text or buttons; success messages show in green and failures in red; faster sync. **Terms.** The installer now shows the same Terms & Conditions (version 1.0) you accept on the web, and records which version was accepted. **Signed.** This installer is digitally signed by InventiPro, so Windows can detect if it has been altered. It is a self-signed certificate, so Windows may still show "Unknown publisher" on first run; choose "More info" > "Run anyway".

  • Changing your account email now requires verifying the new address and re-entering your password -- closes a gap where a hijacked session could silently redirect password-reset emails to an address you don't control.
  • Fixed an issue where account-recovery flows could be affected by stale session state.

Restaurant Table Menu: custom QR-menu categories and per-product show/hide for dine-in ordering.

New: Table Menu screen under Tables. Create custom categories for the diner-facing QR menu (independent of your Products categories), and show or hide individual products from that menu without touching your catalogue. Complements this release's web-app changes: diners now must give a mobile number when ordering via QR, the first diner at a table is marked Admin, and other diners can attribute their order to any guest already seated (e.g. a shared tab under the Admin).

GST/Tally invoice templates, printable credit notes, product search/margin tracking, per-tenant module entitlements now enforced on desktop, and refund/stock accuracy fixes.

New

  • Six GST/Tally invoice templates, and a working item-return journey with printable credit notes (PDF download on web, desktop too).
  • Products: server-side search & paging, cost price + margin tracking, and honest inventory-value KPIs.
  • SuperAdmin can now grant or revoke access to Financial Reports, Fraud Detection, Data Migration and AI Insights per tenant, enforced on desktop as well as web (previously desktop ignored these entirely).
  • 1,632 more UI strings translated across Spanish, French, Hindi and Korean.

Fixed

  • Refunds and credit notes now move stock and every affected total correctly - previously a credit note could decrement stock instead of restocking it, and a sale/return combo could triple-decrement stock.
  • Returns were being counted as income in reports; now excluded, matching the Profit & Loss report.
  • The last 6 untranslated nav labels are now translated, and the billing page stays reachable at large text sizes.
  • The platform email From address had two competing hardcoded defaults; now uses the correctly configured one.

Camera barcode/QR scanning, Scan Intake, Open Food Facts enrichment, and profit-report fixes.

New

  • Camera barcode & QR scanning at checkout, on the Products form, and now on desktop via a laptop or USB webcam.
  • Scan Intake: open a session, scan barcodes to build up stock (wedge scanner or camera), review, and post to inventory in one step. Available on both the web app and desktop.
  • Automatic product detail lookup for unknown barcodes via Open Food Facts.

Fixed

  • Profit & Loss report was inflating gross/net profit by the GST amount collected on sales; now correctly excluded.
  • Profit Margin report was counting cancelled/refunded sales as profit; now excluded, matching the P&L report.
  • Desktop dashboard's Gross Profit KPI was silently showing raw revenue instead of actual profit; now shows a real cost-based figure.
  • Critical: a database migration could fail on startup for any tenant with a discounted invoice, blocking the app from opening at all. Fixed and verified.
